NLO 2021: “Fans Should Expect Good Results From Us,” Says Buruj FC President

Buruj FC, a senior side to Buruj Academy, despite their loss to MKA FC in a pre-season friendly game, have turned their focus to further preparations for the start of the Nationwide League.

The team after getting their slot in the league, have made it an avenue that encourages and markets their academy players who are good enough.

“Our fans should be expecting results. Players who graduate from the academy will go to the main club and it’s a challenge to our academy players, for them to know that football is not a joke, but business,” club president Waheed Buruj Salaudeen said in an interview with Sports247.

“We’ve been inviting more experienced players to fortify the team. Despite our loss today, it’s not about winning today, it’s about seeing the quality and encouraging the Academy players to see if there’s anyone good enough to be in the main team so our fans should be expecting a good result,” the president added.

The president also made mention of the welfare of the players being taken care of and platforms for players to travel abroad due to other competitions the club plays. He thanks his friends, brother, Alhaji Kamaldeen Alaka and Revd mother Esther Ajayi for their support to the team and their love for the youth to grow in the team.
