Nigerian Grassroot Players Are Not Far From The Foreign Raised…

By Coach Uni Dan KAKWI

Why do we use the word “foreign ” to describe Nigerian players raised abroad? Are those players not Nigerians? In terms of fundamentals…are most of them not more fundamentally sound than the homegrown?

Sadiq Umar went through the Roma academy and you can see his progress as an academy graduate. Similar to victor Osihmen(Wolfsburg academy).

Purposefully, the NFF should fix grassroots football whereby the homegrown players are not far behind tactically than the foreign-born players.

We all here prefer
foreign doctors to homegrown doctors…

Foreign nurses than homegrown nurses.

Foreign cars than homemade cars…

The only thing we don’t prefer this day is our music 🎶 because we made an effort to improve that sector and the artist themselves also took time to invest & brand themselves by learning the business aspect of the industry.

It seems the NFF cannot do it alone…

What are practical solutions to solve this problem…
