HiFL 2019: THE SEMI-FINALISTS

After 57 games, 5,130 minutes, 32 teams and loads of excitement, passion, despair and fun, we are down to 4 teams to determine who lifts the 2019 trophy. Meet the Super 4 Teams

UAM TILLERS:

The Tillers have proven beyond doubts that they deserved the 2018 championship. It’s been a good journey for the defending Champions so far since they joined the 2019 season in the Round of 16. History would be repeating itself as the UAM Tillers are battling it out the OAU Giants for a spot in the Finals.

OAU Giants:

After securing their spot in the Semi-Finals by narrowly escaping the heat of their quarterfinals opponent, the LASU Blazers by away goals, the OAU Giants are set to meet with the defending Champions, the UAM Tillers in a match that would either breeze them into the Finals or leave them behind struggling for the third-place title.

UNIBEN Royals:

A practical definition of being back, better and stronger. The UNIBEN Royals definitely made an impressive comeback into this year’s league after a not exiting exit in the previous year. The Royals, having topped their group chart with 9 points have kept their crowns uninsulated with so much energy and good play that led them to the Semifinals. They would be going up against 2019 Under Dogs, the ESUT Explorers in a battle that will either make or mar their chances in reaching for the trophy.

ESUT Explorers:

The 2019 Underdogs. The Esut Explorers have been on a winning streak from the Group stages. They have proved themselves worthy of playing for the trophy after kicking Last Year’s Second place winners, the UNICAL Malabites out of the competition. Only time will tell if the Explorers would be able to battle royalty into the final battle for the trophy. Only time will reveal which team would move further in the search for gold and which team will stay back searching for bronze.
