Bukayo Saka Ruled Out Of Sunday’s EPL Match Away To Liverpool, As Injury Woes Continue

Arsenal of England winger, Bukayo Saka has been ruled out of Sunday’s English Premier League fixture against Liverpool due to injury, with fear of an even longer spell out also looming for him.

Sports247 reports that worrying speculation over the possibility of Saka facing an extended absence for club and country came from the words of the Nigerian-born winger’s coach, Mikel Arteta.

Speaking ahead of Sunday’s EPL clash at Anfield, Arteta gave a mixed injury update for Saka, who was forced out of action after only 10 minutes of Arsenal’s 2-2 draw away to Bayern Munich of Germany in a UEFA Champions League fixture on October 21st.

With widespread hints already indicating that Saka is facing the dire possibility of at least two months out with a thigh problem, Arteta admitted Arsenal and England will both have to make do without the Nigerian-born winger, starting this weekend.

Arteta confirmed Saka is not available for this Sunday’s EPL clash on Merseyside and went on to affirm that it is also unlikely that the winger will be ready for England duty next month, as the dark-skinned left-footer awaits more test results.

Arteta added, “He needed another scan to see the amount of damage, and if the tendon was touched and how badly it was touched. After that, we will know more. I don’t know about England duty yet. It looks like a no, but we will have to wait and see next week.”

Sports247 recalls that England, who won three of their four UEFA Nations League games in the last window, will likely wrap up their campaign at home to Croatia on November 12th and away to Spain three days later without Saka in the squad.
