Will this Chelsea goalkeeper represent the Super Eagles

There have been worries concerning the goalkeeping side of the super eagles for the future as it is one position in the team that is really not full of too many fantastic options since before and after the exit of Carl Ikeme who was based in England. Recently, a Nigerian singed for English giants, Chelsea football club.

Could this be a ray of light at the end of the tunnel? Newly signed Chelsea U18 goalkeeper Prince Adegoke could have as well joined the host of England based players who are willing to represent Nigeria in the future as he may have openly displayed his desire to be the first-choice goalkeeper of the senior national team of Nigeria in the future. Adegoke signed his first professional contract with Chelsea some days ago after progressing nicely from the youth team of the London based Premier League giants.

Unlike his fellow goalkeeper and compatriot, Kelechi Chibueze, who has represented England, Adegoke hasn’t yet and he was even invited to the 2019 Nigeria U17 team but Chelsea blocked him from honoring the invitation then.

The 17-year-old has not hidden his desire to be the first choice goalkeeper of Nigeria as an Instagram user told him that he is the future number one goalkeeper of the senior national team of Nigeria.

”Thank you. I appreciate that“ was the sharp response of the promising lad which could be a sign of his desire to represent Nigeria when the time comes and possibly progress to the first team of Chelsea football club as many of his fans are keeping a tab on him.
