“Football Is My Childhood Dream” — Tikitaka FC Star Boluwatife Kehinde Battles Financial Challenges While Chasing Success as Footballer, Fashion Designer

For Tikitaka FC right winger Boluwatife Kehinde, the dream of becoming a successful footballer is one he has carried since childhood, but behind his determination on the pitch lies another story of creativity, financial struggles and the relentless pursuit of a better future.

While many young footballers dedicate their lives entirely to the beautiful game, Kehinde is building two careers, combining his ambition in football with his passion for fashion design.

Having joined Tikitaka FC about six to seven months ago, the talented winger has experienced the excitement and difficulties of grassroots football, where dreams often compete with financial realities.

Speaking to Sports247, Kehinde opened up about the challenges confronting his club, revealing how inadequate sponsorship continues to affect their progress.

“Major challenges for us are mainly sponsorship, it can be tiring and financially stressful, running a club without strong finances,” he explained.

His revelation highlights a harsh reality facing many grassroots football clubs in Nigeria, where limited financial support can make the pursuit of sporting success increasingly difficult.

Despite these obstacles, Kehinde remains committed to his football journey, having previously represented clubs including Remo FC and Shining Star.

For the youngster, however, life does not end when the referee blows the final whistle.

Away from training sessions and competitive matches, he channels his creativity into fashion design while occasionally exploring editing.

“Outside being a right winger, I’m a fashion designer, and do editing sometimes,” he revealed.

Balancing both worlds requires dedication, but Kehinde believes his love for football remains the driving force behind his determination.

“Football is a passion, I have loved it since childhood, and I’ve played for so many teams,” he said.

As he continues developing his abilities at Tikitaka FC, Kehinde represents a generation of young Nigerian footballers determined to build meaningful futures despite limited resources.

For now, his journey remains a story of two passions: chasing success with the ball at his feet while creating opportunities with his hands.

And whether through football or fashion, Kehinde is determined to make his dreams count.
