No Regrets! Kelechi Iheanacho Reveals the Ambitious Project Behind His Stunning Turkish Move

“To be fair, I don’t talk about transfers. I really try to concentrate on my football.” Those were the exact words of Nigerian international Kelechi Iheanacho as he finally broke his silence regarding one of the most unexpected transfer sagas of the window.

Rather than getting caught up in contract negotiations, the prolific forward entrusted the entire process to his representatives, choosing instead to keep his mind focused strictly on pitch performances while his agents and directors finalized terms behind closed doors.

Kelechi Iheanacho stunned observers across the globe when he completed a high-profile exit from Scottish champions Celtic to put pen to paper with Turkish second-division side Bursaspor.

The decision to step away from elite European competition in favor of the TFF 1. Lig left football pundits and supporters utterly stunned. Many openly questioned why a marquee talent in his prime would willingly embrace the grueling pressures of lower-tier football, sparking intense debate across sports media platforms.

Kelechi Iheanacho eventually decided to address the persistent rumors during a media appearance, shedding light on the internal discussions that convinced him to embark on this daring new chapter.

The star striker admitted that while he had no initial direct contact with the Turkish hierarchy, his agent laid out Bursaspor’s long-term vision in complete detail.

Once the ambitious roadmap was presented, the Nigerian forward realized the project offered an extraordinary opportunity he simply could not turn down.

Despite the initial skepticism surrounding his departure from Celtic, Kelechi Iheanacho expressed full confidence in the decision, praising the historical pedigree and rich culture of his new surroundings.

Now fully settled in Turkey, the Super Eagles talisman is focused entirely on driving his team toward promotion and letting his goalscoring record answer the critics once and for all.
