Lawrence shared that the team had high expectations coming into the tournament, especially as it was their first time being invited to the prestigious competition. “We expected a good game today,” he said, “We tried to gather ourselves to come and play for the competition.”

However, the team faced challenges, with many of their regular players unavailable for the match. “It’s been long Ultimate FC played. And most of our players that we played together as Ultimate FC as a team, most of them are not around,” Lawrence explained. He acknowledged that the team’s performance was affected by this, stating, “We did not play as a team. We ordered players from one place to another.”

Despite the loss, Lawrence praised the efforts of Alimosho FC. “The Alimosho FC that we play with, they are a team. They train every day. They plan for this competition,” he said, “What do you expect from us? But we try because we play good football.”

Reflecting on the experience, Lawrence expressed his admiration for the competition. “I love this competition a lot because they gather like we are playing the Nigeria league. A lot of everything, the supporters club, crowd, even the camera, everything is going well. They are trying. God bless them. God bless LAB Memorial Carnival.”

As Ultimate FC prepares for their next match, fans will be looking forward to seeing how the team bounces back from this initial setback.
