A spectacular start to the LAB Memorial Football Carnival saw Alimosho FC triumphed over Ultimate FC with a decisive 3-0 victory.
The third goal was netted by John Idowu, a midfielder for Alimosho FC, marking a memorable debut in the competition.

Idowu expressed his elation at scoring in his first game. “I feel good. It’s my first time playing this competition. I’m grateful I could score in the first game,” he said. His goal was not a mere stroke of luck, but the result of a determined mindset. “Actually I would say yes. Yes, I was hoping to score goals because I’m playing at the attacking front. So I was hoping to score goals and I’m okay, I can do it and I did it,” he added.
With this strong start, Idowu has set high expectations for Alimosho FC in the tournament. “I think you should expect more and more. We are going to give our best in this competition and we’re going to reach the final,” he confidently stated.
