TIG Gymnastics Championship Starts December 1

This year’s edition of TIG International Gymnastics Championship will hold on December 1st, at Abuja National Stadium package B, FCT, as gathered by sports247.ng.

 

 

This was disclosed by the founder of TIG International Gymnastics Club, Anthony Asuquo, who said the target of this year’s event is to produce gymnasts who can win laurels for Nigeria at international tournaments.

Asuquo added that the major objective of the competition is for young Nigerian gymnasts to meet up with any major outing and face high level standards across the world.

He posited: “My dream is to produce gymnasts who can win medals for Nigeria at the 2019 All Africa Games and ultimately the Olympics.

“Some of the participants of the TIG international championships are in South Africa, Ethiopia, UK and other Africa nations doing well.

“The aim of the levels championship is to enable gymnasts grow in line with the world code of point and rules set by the world gymnastics body.

“The expectations for the eighth edition is higher, because gymnasts are better with more elements and strong coordinated body alignment.

“We expect more from them when performing their routine in different levels to meet up with any major gymnastics standards worldwide.”
