Super Falcons coach Dennerby targets improvement in group match with Equatorial Guinea

Coach Thomas Dennerby has assured Nigerians and supporters of Super Falcons that his girls will keep improving as they progress in the 2018 African Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) currently taking place in Accra and Cape Coast in Ghana.

Dennerby while speaking in a pre match briefing this morning in Cape Coast says preparations for the last group B match against Equatorial Guinea was as normal as ahead of any other match but with an aim of improving on the last performance against Zambia.

“It is just a normal day at work to ensure that we get a victory against Equatorial Guinea tomorrow and improve on our performances,” the former Sweden explained.

On the missed scoring chances by Falcons in the second match against Zambia, Dennerby said as a coach with a long standing experience, he knew that the Falcons would have scored more goals in their match against Zambia but he had since let that off his mind and is working on correcting the mistakes rather than making the players stressed up.

“We would have scored more goals against Zambia but we missed the chances and we are now working on improving on that. We keep working on correcting it and not to make the players stressed up and feel disappointed.”

Super Falcons will tomorrow Saturday play their last group B match against Equatorial Guinea at the Cape Coast Stadium.
