#TCCL: Lack of focus cost us the game against Igamnu Fc- Ayeni Ademola expresses frustration towards his team’s 2-2 draw

Following his side’s 2-2 draw in Match week 8 of the ongoing Creative Championship League, Coach of Emmydinho Fc, Ayeni Ademola has expressed his disappointment on his team’s lack of focus in the encounter, stating that it really cost them all maximum points.

Ayeni Ademola’s side were held by Igamnu Fc to a 2-2 draw at the Agege stadium on Saturday, despite taking a two goal lead at some point in the match.
David and Lateef both scored for Emmydinho (10th and 20th minutes respectively), before Olateji and Okwuka both scored for Igamnu Fc in quick succession (in the 26th and 28th minutes respectively) to make sure both teams walked away with a point a piece from the fascinating encounter.

Reacting with Sports247 after the draw, Emmydinho Fc Coach, Ayeni Ademola expressed his frustration and disappointment towards his team’s lack of focus and concentration in the game, most especially after taking a two goal lead, stating that it really cost them all maximum points, but they just have to accept their fate and prepare well for subsequent matches.

“I think we lost focus, most especially drawing a game we led by 2 goals. I was really surprised, but it’s part of the game. This things happen in football, we just have to accept it, build from there and hopefully win our subsequent matches”.

“I am not really happy though because I am still surprised that we drew the game”.

While still speaking, the outspoken Gaffer also admitted that fatigue was also a major factor that affected his team, stating that lack of preparation and fitness is really a huge problem for his team, but nevertheless, they would work on it and build again in subsequent games.

“Fatigue is really affecting my team. We have been trying to work on ourselves, which we haven’t really had the time to. We have been rushing ourselves a lot. We even played an indoor game before this match, so as to help our players gain match fitness”.

“Most of our players are not yet fit, and you know one player is not fit, it could also affect the while team. But we are going to work on our fitness level and I believe we will perform awesomely in the next game”, he stated.

Ayeni Ademola also assured fans and supporters that his team will do all their possible best to end the League strongly and in a good position in the log, as the Creative Championship League draws close to its conclusion.
