Shooting Stars were held to another goalless draw at home as Kano Pillars secured a point in Ibadan in the rescheduled Matchday 3 fixture of the EuroMatch Nigeria Premier Football League.
Sports247 reports that the encounter at the Lekan Salami Stadium ended 0–0 on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, as the Oluyole Warriors once again failed to make home advantage count.
It was the second consecutive barren draw for Shooting Stars on home soil, following their 0–0 stalemate against Nasarawa United on Matchday 7.
Despite enjoying the backing of their supporters, Shooting Stars struggled to find the decisive breakthrough against a determined Kano Pillars side that defended resolutely to secure a valuable away point.
The result will leave head coach Salisu Yusuf frustrated, particularly as the experienced tactician was facing his former side. Shooting Stars were unable to turn their possession and home advantage into the three points they desperately needed.
Kano Pillars, meanwhile, extended their difficult run but returned to Kano with a point from Ibadan.
The Sai Masu Gida had also drawn 1–1 at home against Sporting Lagos in their previous league outing, and Wednesday’s result means they remain without a win in their recent run.
For Shooting Stars, the inability to score in consecutive home fixtures will be a major talking point as they continue their campaign.
The Oluyole Warriors now have to find a way to convert their home performances into victories if they are to climb the EuroMatch NPFL standings and move away from the lower end of the table.
With both sides sharing the spoils, the rescheduled fixture ultimately produced little in terms of attacking reward, but Kano Pillars will be the happier of the two teams after claiming a point away from home.
Shooting Stars must now regroup quickly as they look to end their home scoring drought and rediscover the winning formula in their next fixture.
