Nigerian professional wrestler, Isaac Odugbesan (aka Oba Femi) has been cited with two disadvantages ahead of his much-expected clash with Brock Lesnar this weekend in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) SummerSlam, with a potentially decisive third fight between them.
Sports247 gathered that Oba Femi’s first disadvantage ahead of the bout came when Lesnar specifically requested that it should take place inside a steel structure in his home state of Minnesota, USA.
It is now expected that many wrestling fans will converge in large numbers to support Lesnar when he battles Oba Femi in what has been tagged ‘Hell In A Cell’ during WWE’s special two-night event on August 1st and 2nd.
The second advantage naturally comes in a boost for Lesnar, as he has more years under his feet in WWE events, which makes him more experienced than Oba Femi concerning wrestling’s roped square, and which many experts of the sport believe accounted for the trilogy in the first place.
It has been argued that Lesnar remains a maverick figure for WWE, whose moguls are already getting uneasy with the fact that he is no longer young and will have to retire soon.
However, instead of allowing Lesnar to retire peacefully, as had been planned initially after he lost the first bout to Oba Femi, WWE’s egg heads simply revived him with the offer of a second shot against ‘The Ruler,’ which he won according to script, thereby setting up a decisive third tango between them.
The next talking point now is what happens at SummerSlam this weekend, ahead of which WWE observers may see victory for the younger fighter, which would mark a new storyline built round Oba Femi, or the old tales of Lesnar might continue much longer.
A promotional statement from WWE disclosed, “After months of hellacious beatdowns and vicious matches, Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar will meet at SummerSlam inside Hell in a Cell. Two days after Femi became the 2026 King of the Ring winner, ‘The Ruler’ laid down a challenge with Lesnar.
“Femi defeated Lesnar at WrestleMania 42, and Lesnar shocked the WWE Universe by leaving his gloves in the ring, seemingly suggesting that he was walking away from competition. However, Lesnar returned to viciously attack Femi on Raw before pinning him in a rematch at Clash in Italy.
“Lesnar has the experience advantage in Hell in a Cell with a 2-2 record, including two wins against The Undertaker, while Femi has never competed in a Hell in a Cell Match. Can Femi again take down ‘The Beast,’ or will Lesnar score his second straight win over The Ruler?”
