The captain of Sporting Lagos FC, Solomon Uloko has predicted what he believes will be a 50-50 battle between his team and Inter Lagos FC in their last match at this year’s Nigerian National League (NNL) Super-4 in Ikenne, Ogun State.

The versatile right-back, who scored two late goals and emerged as man of the match in his team’s 4-0 trouncing of Doma United of Gombe on Wednesday, added that he wants to give his very best performance against his former club.

Uloko reflected, “I joined Sporting Lagos last season, before which I was with Inter Lagos. It’s a good thing that the two clubs have been promoted to the Premier League.

“They got promoted before us, and many of my friends were already saying they wished I was still there; but I just told them I was okay where I am. I also said I was sure that we would gain promotion as well.

“So, I was very happy when we did it. Now we are going to play them in our last game at the Super 4, and it will be a tough match. It’s a Lagos derby on neutral ground, and I know it will be a 50-50 battle.

“This is the type of match that either side can win. That’s why we must not underrate them, and we must play them with all that we have.

“I will also try and give my best; because they are a team I know and they know me. So, we are prepared for whatever they bring.

“In fact, right from the start of the season, we have always been fully prepared for each of our natches. So, this one is not different from all of the.”

Sports247 gathered further that the petit right-back, who hails from Akwa Ibom State and attends Winners Church in Lagos, is already motivating his teammates to go full throttle throughout the game on Friday.

He reckoned that winning the NNL Super-4 trophy will not only give them the N10m star prize on offer, but also thrill the club’s chairman, Godwin Enakhena, who Uloko said encourages all the players like a father.
