NNL Super-4: ProStar Match Footballs Get Top Marks From Players, Coaches, Officials; Brand Partner Promises More Thrills

A major talking point during the ongoing Super-4 competition of Nigerian National League (NNL) is the presence of top-quality footballs (Prostar Advantage) for training and matches provided by ProStar Sports International.

Sports247 gathered that, apart from providing the balls used during all six matches of the competition at Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State, ProStar also promised to give each team free supplies of their premium quality products.

Players, coaches and club officials who spoke with Sports247 about the footballs supplied by ProStar affirmed that they have nothing to complain about, considering the very high standard they believe the company puts into its product.

The secretary of Doma United, Murtala Sambo asserted in an exclusive interview with Sports247 that the balls, which have been in use by the club since the NNL’s regular season, are of high standard and none of their players has complained about the quality.

Sambo added: “For any league to prosper, the organiser has to provide standard balls for the clubs to use. So, before the commencement of the regular season, Nigeria National League gave us 10 ProStar balls, which we used during the whole competition.

“They also promised to provide another set of balls for us to use in the Super-4. I can safely say the balls are of high standard and we are happy to use them throughout this tournament.

“I can say it categorically that ProStar balls are of high standard and they are equipped with efficiency that is conducive for this type of matches. They are also weather-friendly balls and the players are used to them.

“If the players do not like the balls, they will complain about them. However, there are no complaints about these balls, because they allow free flow of the game and the players are quite comfortable with them.”

A corporate promo by the company read in part, “ProStar Sports International is actively elevating the 2026 NNL Super Four tournament in Ikenne, Ogun State, by providing high-quality equipment and supporting the promotion of (all the four competing) teams.

“(ProStar) CEO, Ambassador Paul Maduakor congratulated the teams for reaching the tournament (whoch will) decide the 2025/2026 NNL champion, while also highlighting improved standards of the competition.”

Sports247 reports further that ProStar is a key partner for the NNL, supplying match balls and kits as part of a five-year deal signed in 2024, while also sponsoring fan engagement and brand activations to increase excitement around the tournament at Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne.
