The league body has mandated three compulsory pre-competition medical tests to ensure the well-being and fitness of participants.

These mandatory tests encompass the following:
1. Pre-competition Medical Assessment (PCMA): This comprehensive evaluation aims to ascertain the physical readiness of registered players and officials for any form of physical activity.

2. Electrocardiogram (ECG) Test: Conducted to diagnose heart conditions and assess electrical activity within the heart, this test is crucial to ensure cardiac health.

3. COVID-19 Test: Given the ongoing global pandemic, a COVID-19 test is required to identify and address any cases related to the virus.

The NNL emphasized that compliance with these medical tests is essential for players and officials to obtain clean medical clearance, permitting their participation in the league. Clubs are instructed to submit an official report, duly endorsed by a qualified medical doctor or recognized medical center.

Emmanuel Adesanya, the Chief Operating Officer of NNL, underscored the significance of prioritizing the health and safety of every player and official involved in the league.

He cautioned that clubs failing to adhere to these directives risk disqualification from the league, regardless of the previously drawn fixtures.

Adesanya also conveyed that all participating clubs have been duly informed of the critical importance of these medical tests and urged them to promptly complete the necessary procedures before the league’s kickoff.

The NNL’s proactive measures reflect a commitment to ensuring the well-being of athletes and personnel while fostering a safe and competitive environment for the upcoming season.
