England U-20 right-back Olabade Aluko continued his impressive development at Leicester City after scoring in the Foxes’ 3-1 Carabao Cup defeat to Ipswich Town. The 19-year-old defender, who is eligible to represent the Super Eagles of Nigeria through his Nigerian heritage, found the net in a notable moment of his rapidly developing professional career.
Sports247 reports that Aluko’s journey with Leicester City began in 2021, when he was scouted and subsequently joined the club’s academy. Five years on, the London-born defender has progressed from youth football to becoming part of Leicester’s senior setup.
Known affectionately as “Bade”, Aluko progressed through Leicester’s youth ranks and captained both the club’s U-18 and U-21 sides. His development was rewarded in June 2025 when he signed his first professional contract with the Championship club.

At international level, Aluko has represented England across several youth categories and made his England U-20 debut in October 2025.
