Jamiu Hamza, head coach of Magic Stars FC is hopeful that his side can survive the drop in the NLO 2022/2023 season after picking thier first win of the season against Dannaz FC who are chasing the group top spot.
Magic Stars picked up a very much needed 2-0 victory which was the first for them having played four games without a win as they look to survive the relegation battle.
“Glory to God, finally we have our first win of the season. No match is easy to play because everyone is competing and that’s why it makes it hard for us to move out from the relegation,” a delighted Hamza said in his post match interview with Sports247.ng.
“We did everything right from the beginning and there’s nothing I would have wished I had change since the season started, we just didn’t take our chances due to anxiousness and that’s why we are where we are now.”
“Now, we have a lot to do, I know my team but we need to get together and fight this relegation survival battle together,” he stated.
