Toheeb Ojerinde Takes Delight in Watching Emiliano Martinez In Goal For Chelsea

A young goalkeeper with Dazzle Football Academy of Surulere, Toheeb Ojerinde has told Sports247 that he is always excited whenever he watches ace shot-stopper Emiliano Martinez in action for Chelsea of England.

Ojerinde also took his mind back to the past three seasons, while Martinez was still with Aston Villa, and added that he was always excited seeing the Argentina number one net-minder pull off great saves in the English Premier League before joining Chelsea this term.

With Martinez having proved his mettle at the highest stage during this year’s FIFA World Cup final, Ojerinde said he began to admire the keeper even more than ever and was happy that the Argies’ star got a huge summer transfer to Chelsea.

As Martinez continues pulling off heroics with The Blues, his exploits remain a very strong source of motivation for Ojerinde, who joined Dazzle FA in 2019, on the invitation of the club’s team manager, Femi Soluade.

Incidentally, Soluade is a veteran of the Nigerian football scene, having coached Vero Bim Queens in the female league and a couple of male sides as well, the experience of which he is now using to guide many kids at Dazzle FA.

One of them is Ojerinde, a student of Ejo Boys High in Mushin area of Lagos, who further disclosed that he appreciates what the coaches at Dazzle FA, led by Uche Iyesele, are imparting to him and other players in the team.

Ojerinde further disclosed that Soluade, who also previously handled Babatunde Raji Fashola (BRF) FC in years past, has been like a father to him and a huge source of inspiration for all players at Dazzle FA, who have Ademola Adeleke as their captain.

“I want to thank our T.M. from bringing me to Dazzle Football Academy and to Coach Uche for how he is bringing all of us up in the team as our coach. They are really trying for us.

“I am a goalkeeper in the team and they are really encouraging me to become a star. I hope that one day I’ll become great like Martinez of Argentina. I also want to keep for Nigeria at the World Cup,” Ojerinde enthused.
