“The technical department is the engine room of badminton development,” Kazeem said.
According to the badminton administrator, improving technical structures remains essential for the sport’s growth in Nigeria.
“We want stronger systems across every level,” he implied.
Kazeem also highlighted plans to intensify grassroots development and increase female participation through structured programmes.
“We are focusing heavily on grassroots and women’s badminton,” he noted.
The federation plans to introduce more age-grade competitions, school sports programmes, and nationwide talent identification initiatives.
“We want to discover talents early,” he added.
Nigeria continues seeking stronger development pathways in badminton as officials attempt to build a more competitive future generation of players.
“The future depends on grassroots investment,” many sports stakeholders believe.
Kazeem stressed that sustainable growth in badminton can only happen through proper planning and nationwide development programmes.
“Development must be structured properly,” he stressed.
For the Badminton Federation of Nigeria, the message is clear.
Strengthen coaching structures.
Develop young talents nationwide.
And invest more in grassroots badminton.
Because future champions are built through early development, organization, and consistent technical support.
