Ojih also urged coaches, players, referees, state associations, club owners, fans and well-wishers to pray for harmony and progress within the handball community, stressing that their strength lies in togetherness rather than division.

While reaffirming his commitment to carrying everyone along in the development of the sport, Ojih stressed that his administration remains open to every stakeholder and the entire handball family in Nigeria, irrespective of past affiliations.

The HFN boss expressed optimism that Nigerian handball will continue to attain greater heights locally and internationally, then appealed to stakeholders to place the sport above personal differences in order to attract more partnerships.

Ojih also pledged to consolidate on the achievements of his predecessor, as part of his efforts to strengthen grassroots participation, youth development, improved sponsorship, more competitions and fresh opportunities for athletes and officials.

He said, “I am committed to building on solid legacies of my predecessor, Samuel Ocheho. The foundation he set will be consolidated and strengthened, as we work to expand the reach of handball and create more opportunities for everyone.

“Let us put the sport above personal differences. Let us promote peace at all times. Our strength lies not in our divisions, but in our ability to stand together as one family. Under my leadership, every voice matters, and every contribution counts.”
