Nigeria’s female youth national team, Falconets’ coach, Moses Aduku has pledges that his players will come out stronger in order to beat China this Thursday at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland.
Sports247 reports that, in spite of his side’s 2-0 loss to Spain during their opening game on Monday, Aduku is staying upbeat ahead of their second group encounter at Stadion Sosnowiec.

Aduku acknowledged that it is a match his team must win in order to stay in contention for a ticket into the competition’s knockout stage, and the former youth international stressed that they will get the job done
He added that the Falconets are not intimidated with how the Chinese girls thrashed New Caledonia 5-0 in their first match and sit top of Group F’s table on goals difference ahead of 2022 champions, Spain.
Incidentally, China defeated the Falconets 3-0 in a group match at the 2006 edition in Russia, while a late own goal gave Nigeria a 1-1 draw in their match at France 2018 and helped them into the tournament’s quarter finals.
Aduku reflected on past results between both teams and admitted it won’t be an easy task for his team, but concluded with an assertion that they will put up a better performance than they did versus Spain.
“We have put the match against Spain behind us and focussing totally on the clash with China. The players are ready to come out stronger for the match against China,” Aduku affirmed.
Sports247 adds that victory for the Falconets will put them on course for a spot in the second round as well as a step closer to repeating their runners-up feats of the 2014 and 2018 editions.
