Nigerian forward, Stephen Odey has been included in the Swiss Super League Team of the Week (TOTW) for the fourth time this season, following his impressive performance for FC Zurich against FC Thun on Wednesday.
Odey featured for the entire duration of the game and scored a goal as his team secured a 3-0 win against the Thuners.
The goal was Odey’s 10th in the league and 16th in all competitions this season. The victory also sealed FC Zurich’s spot in next season’s UEFA Europa League.
Odey joined the club in 2017 after a successful career playing for MFM in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL).
On the international scene, the 21-year-old will not be part of Nigeria’s squad to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations later in the year, having been omitted from Gernot Rohr’s 25-man provisional list for the tournament.
