Chief Kpalukwu Commends Rivers United Youth Team For NPFL Youth League Victory

Dr. Okey Kpalukwu, the General Manager of Rivers United, has expressed his admiration for the Rivers United U-17 Youth Team following their triumph in the 2024 NPFL Youth League held in Benin, Edo State.

In a congratulatory message representing the entire management, players, and coaching staff of Rivers United, Dr Kpalukwu praised the team’s victory as a testament to the club’s commitment to nurturing young talent from the grassroots level.

He emphasized the club’s dedication to supporting and developing young players, highlighting their potential to make significant strides in the football world.

Dr Kpalukwu, who also serves as the Chairman of the NPFL Club Owners Association and a member of the NPFL Board, commended the Youth Team’s coaches for their dedication and tactical prowess, which played a crucial role in securing the victory in Benin City.

He applauded their determination to compete at the highest level and praised their skilful approach to the game.

The Rivers United Youth Team clinched the championship title by amassing 10 points, including victories over Remo Stars, Rangers International, and Katsina United, along with a draw against Plateau United.

Standout players such as Ozornwafor Oscar were awarded Most Valuable Player (MVP), and Seiyefa Jackson, the top scorer with four goals, contributed significantly to the team’s success.

The victory of the Rivers United Youth Team serves as a source of pride for the club and underscores its commitment to developing young talent and fostering a culture of excellence in Nigerian football.
