The Showtime Bowl Series XV delivered another action-packed Sunday at the Showtime Arena as Week 3 produced big scores, dominant performances and moments that showed just how competitive and unpredictable the season is becoming.

The defending champions, Lagos Knights, made one of the biggest statements of the week with a 47-19 victory over Lagos Rebels. The Knights led 21-7 at halftime before pulling further away in the second half, continuing their strong title defence with another impressive display.

Lagos Green Backs also gave their campaign a major lift, recording their first win of the season with a commanding 53-0 victory over Rivers Alphas. Their performance was built around strong communication, discipline and a defence that kept the Alphas from finding the end zone.

Cross River Ikan Sports were another team to catch the eye, beating Delta Panthers by a 50-point margin. The result showed their ability to control the game at both ends, while Salimon Muhammed insisted the team would keep the “fire” burning in their upcoming games.

Ibom Raptors were made to work for their victory against Gateway Horns but eventually secured a 43-24 win. Gateway Horns showed periods of resistance before the Raptors regained control through defensive adjustments, offensive play-calling and timely substitutions. Player-coach Babatunde Mustapha highlighted those tactical changes as important to the victory.

Abia Warriors also continued their impressive run, overpowering Delta Braves 54-13. The result added another convincing win to a campaign that has already seen the Warriors produce huge scores, further establishing them as one of the teams to watch as the season develops.

Across the five games, Week 3 delivered everything expected from a growing flag football competition — speed, big plays, tactical battles, high-scoring attacks and intense moments that kept the action lively at the Showtime Arena.

With Week 3 now behind them, teams will have little time to relax. The winners will be looking to carry their momentum forward, while those who suffered heavy defeats must quickly regroup and address the areas that let them down.

The coming week should bring another round of fierce battles as teams fight for consistency, confidence and a stronger position in the competition. If Week 3 is anything to go by, the Showtime Bowl Series XV is only getting more intense.
