A multi-talented junior secondary three (JS3) student of Antioch Royal College, Ikotun, Lagos, Oluwaseun Chiazor stood out in a series of activities organised to mark teachers’ day in the school.
Sports247 was present live in the school’s hall, as the students took over the day’s line up of events and had all their teachers sitting as guests to watch the entertaining deliveries that included riddles, jokes, teasers, moral talk, mimicking and recitations.
The day’s outstanding talent, with his willing and highly creative involvement in most of the day’s activities, turned out to be Chiazor, whose mother hails from the south-west and father is from the south-east, thereby giving the kid a combination of ideas that made him stand out.
The dark-skinned lad, who said he often plays football on the street near his home as well as during break time in the school, gave several jokes in a smooth performance with Ezekiel Agbeniso from SS1 and Oluwafiirefunmi Bello of SS2, with their presentation based on rhymes.
Chiazor then joined some of the female students to throw more light on the school’s moral topic for the week, which happened to be ‘Good Behaviour,’ and the representatives from each class explained it concisely for their colleagues to understand better.
One of the teachers told Sports247 after the day’s events, “Seun, Fiire and Ezekiel are among our brightest students in this school. They are good in academics and also excel in sports.
“For instance, every Tuesday, we have aerobics in the morning after assembly and football in the afternoon before closing. All the girls also participate, and we also encourage them in athletics.”
The day ended on an even happier note when one of the special guests handed out a cash gift to Chiazor, Agbeniso and Bello as a reward for their creative use of linking words during their joke session in the course of activities lined up by the school’s management.
