All elite women golfers, supporters, officials, administrators and stakeholders billed to attend this year’s All African Challenge Trophy (AACT 2026) in Abuja have been promised a top notch hospitality package from beginning to end of the competition, Sports247 reports.
This assurance was bodly served by the treasurer of Ladies Golf Association of Nigeria (LGAN), Nana Abubakar, who is also chairperson of the competition’s catering and refreshment committee, while revealing plans towards memorable days for all golfers, officials and guests during their stay in Abuja.

Abubakar gave details of arrangements for feeding, refreshments and welfare during the competition, from November 2nd to 7th at IBB International Golf & Country Club in Abuja, ahead of which she also spoke about local delicacies and well-coordinated catering schedules already planned for the continental championship.
She added that the committee is working extra hard to ensure that everyone who turns up for AACT 2026 will experience the richness and taste of Nigerian cuisine as well as enjoy flawless days of hospitality during their stay in Abuja.
The catering expert excitedly disclosed: “Our arrangements will go beyond just providing meals, beverages and refreshments. We also want our guests to enjoy special Nigerian delicacies, cocktails and entertainment, as part of activities surrounding the championship.
“The committee is also making provisions for all the golfers to enjoy our services during practice sessions and while competing on the course, because we recognise the need to keep players refreshed and comfortable; most especially during challenging weather conditions.
“These arrangements are designed to ensure that all the players can concentrate on their games while receiving necessary catering and refreshment support at every point throughout the competition.
“Before getting to the golf course, our hospitality package will begin from the moment visitors arrive in Nigeria. We will meet them all with welcome packages and cordial receptions that are well planned to give players and guests a warm introduction to the country.”
Sports247 gathered further that the welfare arrangements outlined by Abubakar reflect the AACT 2026 local organising committee’s determination to make it more than a sporting contest, while using the championship to showcase Nigerian culture, cuisine, entertainment and hospitality to visitors.
The upcoming ladies challenge is expected to feature women golfers from about 30 countries, under the theme ‘Uniting Africa Through The Greens,’ while creating fresh opportunities for social interactions, cultural exchange, tourism, cementing business links and building stronger relationships.
