Adeshina shared the remarkable journey of Trade Safe FC, a relatively new club that was established in 2020, and highlighted their rapid rise in the Nigerian football scene.

In an exclusive interview with Sports 247, Ademola Adeshina revealed the club’s impressive trajectory, saying, “Trade Safe is a young club, founded just two years ago. In our first year in the league, we finished fourth. By the second year, we were topping the league at some point and even became runners-up. In our third season, we clinched the championship in the NLO (National League One), and now, we are the champions of the Lagos FA Pre-Season Tournament. It’s been an incredible journey, and we give all the glory to God.”

Winning the prestigious pre-season tournament signifies a significant milestone for Trade Safe FC, and Adeshina expressed his gratitude for this achievement. He stated, “This victory represents a major step forward for our team, our club president, and myself as the coach. We are truly grateful to God for this triumph, which showcases the hard work and dedication of everyone involved.”

Reflecting on the performance of his players during the tournament, Adeshina praised their efforts. He acknowledged that the journey started with challenges, including logistical issues that affected the team’s initial matches. However, he emphasized their determination to improve, saying, “From the beginning of the tournament, the players performed exceptionally well. We encountered some challenges in our first and second games due to logistics, but we learned from those experiences. We arrived early for our crucial matches and secured victories, earning our place in the final.”

Adeshina highlighted the team’s journey to victory, which included a quarter-final win against First Bank, a resounding 4-0 victory over Spartans FC in the semi-final, and the thrilling penalty shootout win in the final against Ikorodu FC.

Looking ahead, Adeshina acknowledged the need to address the team’s mistakes and continue their growth. He said, “There are certainly areas where we need to improve. After this tournament, we will return to the drawing board. Starting on Monday, we will work on fixing our mistakes in preparation for the NNL (Nigeria National League). We understand that there is more work to be done, and we are committed to achieving even greater success.”

In conclusion, Adeshina affirmed that the victory was well-deserved for the club’s president, management, and the dedicated players who demonstrated exceptional skill and determination throughout the tournament.
