The two players were included in the final 23-player squad to represent Nigeria at the tournament in France. With their arrival in Austria, coach Thomas Dennerby now has a complete squad.

Oshoala and Ihezuo who enjoyed a warm reception from their teammates on Sunday afternoon arrived late due to club side engagement, flight and visa difficulties.

China-based Ihezuo scored her seventh goal in seven appearances as Henan Huishang defeated Nanchang Bayo 3-1 some days back.

While Spain-based Oshoala holds the record of being the first African to play and score in the UEFA Women’s Champions League final despite Barcelona losing 4-1 to Lyon two weeks ago.

Nigeria first match at the World Cup is against Norway on June 4, followed by encounters with South Korea and hosts France.

The tournament is scheduled to be held from June 7 to July 7.
