Transfer: Glory Ogbonna Rejoins Beşiktaş for Second Spell

Super Falcons defender Glory Ogbonna has returned to Turkish side Beşiktaş for a second spell ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Ogbonna previously represented Beşiktaş and is now set to begin another chapter with the Turkish giants, bringing her defensive experience and international pedigree back to the club.

The centre-back has established herself as part of Nigeria’s senior women’s national team setup, earning recognition for her defensive qualities and versatility. Her return to Beşiktaş also provides an opportunity to continue her development while competing at club level in Turkey.

For Beşiktaş, the arrival of the Nigerian defender adds experience to their squad as preparations intensify for the new campaign. Ogbonna’s familiarity with the club and Turkish football could also help ease her transition back into the team.

The move marks another stage in a European career that has seen the defender experience football in different countries while remaining part of the Super Falcons setup.

With the 2026/27 season approaching, Ogbonna will be hoping her second spell with Beşiktaş proves even more successful as she targets regular playing time, strong performances and further opportunities to contribute to Nigeria’s national team.

Her return also adds another Nigerian presence to the Turkish women’s football landscape, with Ogbonna now focused on making an immediate impact in familiar surroundings.
