Stage Is Set For The 2023 NEROS Anambra FA Cup Finals, As Iloenyosi Eulogies Dr Poly Emenike For His Passion About Football

The Anambra FA Chairman Gen Chikelue Iloenyosi has assured the football loving stakeholders in the state and beyond that all is set for the finals of the 2023 Neros Anambra FA Cup Finals. Two matches are billed for the finals as Edel FC and Maureen Madu Football Kiddies Club will look to defend their trophies in both men and female categories against Ozalla FC and Awka Angels respectively.

We have put everything in place with the help of the Sponsor, the Neros Pharmaceuticals. We want to host a befitting finals that our young players can be proud of. In that vain, I want to specifically and specially thank the Sponsor, the CEO of Neros Pharmaceuticals for his unflinching support for football in the state. He has shown what it means to have an undiluted passion for this round leather game. Easily he is the number one promoter of football in the state and we can only wish him well in all he does.”

In a related development, Iloenyosi revealed that FIFA Badged Referee Ndidi Patience Madu will officiate the showpiece event at the Neros stadium Nanka. Lady Ndidi was listed and officiated at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, same year she became the second female referee to officiate the finals of the National Federation Cup between Bayelsa United and Nasarawa United in Edo state. She has also officiated African Women’s Nations Cup qualifiers and named as a VAR official in the tournament. She was also part of the 2022 officials for the CAF Women’s Champions League. She will be bringing her wealth of experience to be the arbiter in the Sunday decider.

Before the finals on Sunday, there will be 3rd place playoffs in the male and female category. Rising Stars of Ojoto will take on GP Ladies in the women division while Peace FC of Awka will play Global FC of Onitsha in the men’s division.
