The club, poised to make a strong mark in the NPFL, has embarked on the construction of a stadium located within the Landmark area of Victoria Island.

Oluwayemisi Cole, the team manager of Sporting Lagos, excitedly revealed that the stadium is on track to be fully operational before the commencement of the 2024-25 NPFL season.

She shared this exciting update during the ValueJet pre-season tournament in Ikenne, expressing the club’s anticipation to have their home turf ready for action.

Sporting Lagos, in the interim, has secured the Mobolaji Johnson Arena as their temporary home ground for the upcoming season.

This strategic move ensures the team has a familiar setting to kick off their journey in the NPFL after their promotion from the Nigeria National League.

The promotion was secured through a commendable performance in the Nigeria National League Super Eight playoffs, held in Asaba the previous month.

As the finishing touches are applied to the new stadium at the heart of Victoria Island, fans and football enthusiasts are buzzing with anticipation.

The completion of the stadium stands as a testament to Sporting Lagos’ dedication to its sport and its fans. With their eyes set on a promising future in the NPFL, Sporting Lagos looks forward to hosting matches on their very own turf and making their mark in Nigerian football history.
