Solanke Set For Tuesday Unveiling By Crystal Palace

Nigerian-born England youth international, Dominic Solanke is sure to begin 2019 at a new base, as he is set to be unveiled on Tuesday by mid-class English Premier League club, Crystal Palace.

Sports247.ng reports that, while the same team had been tipped to get former Super Eagles’ winger, Victor Moses back from Chelsea in January, it is Solanke who leads the winter transfer arrivals at Selhurst Park.

Moses could still be on his way to rejoin the club he played for at the start of his professional career in England, but he will now be noted behind Solanke, who played for Cheslea before moving to Liverpool.

The FIFA U-20 World Cup most valuable player and gold medalist in 2017 is now sure to join Palace on loan for the second half of the season after undergoing a medical with The Eagles on Monday.

This is despite the fact that Solanke also had a number of other English Premier League clubs to choose from, once it became clear he would be allowed to leave Anfield for the second half of the current campaign.

Solanke has not featured in a single game for Liverpool this term, but he attracted Brighton & Hove Albion, Bournemouth and Huddersfield Town, as well as Rangers in the Scottish Premiership.

However, the 21-year-old chose Selhurst Park as his next destination and confirmation of the loan agreement should go through on January 1.

Palace boss, Roy Hodgson has been on the lookout for a new striker, having been forced to use two attacking midfielders, Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend, as arrow heads for large parts of the current season.
