Ndidi May Take Over Elneny Pairing From Iwobi

Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Onyinyen Ndidi might be the one to take over team partnership with Egyptian ace, Mohamed Elneny, from Arsenal star, Alex Iwobi.

Sports247.ng can reveal that Ndidi could take over having the Egyptian star as a teammate from Iwobi, as Elneny is tipped to join Leicester in the January transfer window.

With Iwobi in top form, yet still rated behind other top midfielders at Emirates Stadium, Elneny has found himself down the pecking order and is set to seek pastures new at King Power Stadium.

Although it would also mean having Ndidi as a threat to dislodge, Elneny appears ready to take the plunge, especially as reports indicate that The Foxes are planning a move for the Arsenal midfielder.

The report adds that Leicester will continue to try and lure Elneny from Arsenal, as the Egyptian isn’t enjoying life under The Gunners’ new boss, Unai Emery, and the lad is keen to move on loan in January.

However, the once dashing midfielder will still wait to see what other options are there for him once the window opens on January 1st.

This comes so soon after his mentor, Hamdi Nouh urged Elneny to leave Arsenal in January.

Nouh, who was the coach of Elneny at Egyptian club, Arab Contractors, said: “He has to leave Arsenal in the next transfer period.

“He has to leave at least on a loan basis to play more and to regain his confidence.

“His situation has been influenced by a trainer change and a new way of playing, but I am convinced that he will return better.

“Because his enormous potential and his winning mentality will help him to come back.”
