Sofoluwe Wants Better Attitude From Players

Former Super Eagles defender, Yisa Sofoluwe has called for better attitude from players in the Nigerian national team, as he believes they need a recharged fired of patriotism to excel.

Although ‘The Dean of Defence’ said in a chat with sports247.ng that he appreciates how the team has qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations, he insists there is still more to be done by the players.

Sofoluwe urged Nigerian players to see the national team as a window of opportunity to launch themselves into global recognition and an avenue through which they can cement their futures for life after football.

He went on to charge the stars of the current dispensation to continue working hard at their clubs in order to earn national team invitations.

Sofoluwe said: “I know that Nigerian players have various decisions to make on how they see the national team, but they should work harder.

“They should give in their best at every little opportunity to showcase themselves to the world with good performance at the national team.”
