Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) Quashes Transfer Rumors, Assures Fans of Taofeek Malomo’s Stay

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan has assured their devoted fans that talented midfielder Taofeek Malomo will not be leaving the team.

Recent rumors had linked the electrifying winger with a potential move to clubs such as Akwa United of Uyo and Bendel Insurance of Benin.

However, the management of the Oluyole Warriors firmly stated that no club has approached them regarding the transfer of the former Joy Cometh FC player, and they insist that he remains a vital member of the team.

Dimeji Lawal, the General Manager of 3SC, also known as Kabongo, emphasized that Malomo is still with the club and they will do everything in their power to retain him.

This sentiment was echoed by the club’s head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote, affectionately known as the Oracle, who confirmed that Malomo will continue to be a player for the Ibadan-based soccer lords.

While addressing the media, the 3SC management expressed their gratitude for the unwavering support of the state government.

They called for increased backing from both the media and the club’s passionate supporters in preparation for the upcoming 2023/24 season, scheduled to commence in late August.

Acknowledging their disappointing performance in the previous season, the club’s management issued an apology to the government, the people of Oyo State, and their supporters worldwide.

They assured everyone that they have already taken steps to ensure a more successful season ahead and promised to deliver improved results.

The club’s acting General Manager, Dimeji Lawal, shared their determination to have a better outing, emphasizing that they are working diligently to make it happen.

He appealed for continued support from Governor Engineer Seyi Makinde, the media, and the fans, emphasizing that together they will achieve their goals.

Present at the media briefing were the acting General Manager, the head coach, the Director of Administration and Supply, the Chairman of the 3SC Supporters Club, Mr. Femi Ajala, and a prominent official of the Supporters Club, Elder Akinade.

With their star player Taofeek Malomo set to stay, 3SC aims to bounce back and bring joy to their fans in the upcoming season, while seeking the necessary support to make their ambitions a reality.
