Arsenal of England youngster, Ruyan Alebiosu has disclosed that he likes to fancy his playing pattern along that of The Gunners’ senior squad star player, Alex Iwobi.
Sports247.ng gathered that, although Alebiosu says he prefers playing on the right flank, he could replicate the skills Iwobi shows when the Super Eagles’ star features as a winger.
Alebiosu went on to declare that he will not mind following Iwobi’s example in playing for Nigeria at senior level, but admitted he will first have to make his mark at Emirates Stadium.
With that task in mind, Alebiosu said he hopes to be a regular in The Gunners’ under-18 starting lineup this season and train intermittently with the London club’s under-23 side as well.
Alebiousu, who has been at Arsenal since age seven, signed as a scholar this season and has played four matches in the U18 Premier League.
The youngster affirmed: “I would say I’m a little similar in style to Alex Iwobi when he plays on the wing.
”I have admired and watched Alex play for years and also when he plays for Nigeria, which is where my parents are from.
”I was a right winger then and still am, although I played as right-back or wing-back last season when we played with three centre backs.
”I like to dribble past defenders and get crosses and passes into the box or come inside when I need to.”
