Rilwan Oladosu Faces Stiff Title Challenge

Nigerian and West African Boxing Union (WABU) lightweight champion, Rilwan “Real One” Oladosu is facing a stiff challenge for his belt on December 28.

Three days after Christmas, but sports247.ng can report that Oladosu might not be celebrating, unless he can over come the threat from less-fancied Mubarak Hamzat at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.

Oladosu should start making elaborate plans on how to overcome what appears like a potent threat from Hamzat in the national lightweight bout, one of eight fights scheduled for the event.

Hamzat stressed, though ‘Real One’ is the national and regional champ, the fight will be a different kettle of fish, because he is determined to win.

Hamzat roared: “He may be the national and West African champion, but his status will have no bearing on what happens in the ring on that day.

“He is said to be undefeated but will taste defeat on that day. There are no two ways about it.

“I am ready to deal with him in a way he has never been dealt with. He will be shocked.”
