Former minister for sports, Chief Sunday Dare has issued a firm declaration that Nigeria’s current president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is ‘pursuing structural reforms that previous governments hesitated to confront,’ Sports247 reports.
Dare, who was Nigeria’s Minister of Youth and Sports Development from 2019 to 2023, during the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari, added that Tinubu has touched every facet of life in the country with various reforms.
He stated this and more while formally and personally presenting his new book, which is titled ‘One Thousand and Ninety-Five Days and Counting: Communicating the Strides of a Reformer-in-Chief,’ to President Tinubu.
While disclosing that the presentation was a privilege for him, the former minister, who is now Tinubu’s special adviser on communications and publicity, added that the book documents the current administration’s efforts within three years in office.
Dare expatiated, “The publication chronicles key policy interventions and structural reforms implemented under President Tinubu’s administration, which have set Nigeria on a path toward economic recovery and national transformation.
“The administration’s reform agenda has sparked widespread public debate, while maintaining that the policies represent bold decisions that previous governments were either reluctant to implement or introduced only gradually.
“Over the course of these one thousand and ninety-five days, Nigerians have witnessed an administration pursuing structural reforms that previous governments either hesitated to confront or approached incrementally.”
Sports247 recalls that, during his tenure, Dare undertook several progressive, ultra-modern and developmental feats that boosted talent discovery, athlete welfare and commendable results from Nigeria’s participation in international competitions.
