After all said and done, it’s looking more like a partnership paying off even before it started as the president of traditional Spanish club Real Oviedo, Jorge Menéndez Vallina sent a quick congratulatory message to Fusion Football League Champions, Ajuwa FA.
Months back, Real Oviedo and Ajuwa FA signed a partnership agreement that will see players and coaches as well move from the Nigerian academy to the Spanish side for training, scouting as well as the opportunity to sign professional contracts and to the delight of the president of the Spanish side, they must have entered a partnership with the right side.
“As president of Real Oviedo, I want to send you my congratulations for being champions. It is a pride to be a participant in your achievements and to see with what emotion and effort you defend that blue shirt and that shield that you wear on your chest,” Jorge Menédez told Sports247.
The president also ensured to drop kind words of encouragement to the fusion champions in a bid to push them to the ultimate goal of professionalism.
“keep working and training hard, because surely you will have the opportunity to continue defending those colors in the big stadiums. My regards and congratulations, hala Oviedo,” he concluded.
Ajuwa FA defeated Depros FC 4-0 in an intense final day to become champions of the first edition of the Fusion Football League with 42 points, just a point ahead of the team in second place, Box 2 Box FC.
