Plateau United, Kano Pillars Out Of CAF Competitions

Nigeria Champions, Plateau United crashed out of the CAF Champions League today after being held to a disappointing goalless draw (0-0) by Simba SC of Tanzania in the reverse leg of the Preliminary stage of the CAF Champions League.

The Jos side had lost 1-0 against the Tanzanian Champions in Nigeria before being held to a goalless draw in the second Leg at the Mkapa Stadium in Tanzania, crashing out of the competition with a 1-0 loss on aggregate.

In the Second Tier of the CAF Competition (CAF Confederation Cup), Kano Pillars crashed out of the Competition after losing 3-1 on aggregate to ASC Jaraaf of Senegal in the Preliminary Round of the CAF Confederation Cup, after being held to a Goalless draw (0-0) in the second Leg at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna, Nigeria, with the 1st Leg ending 3-1 in Favour of the Senegalese side.

On Sunday, Enyimba will host Burkinabe side Rahimo in the reverse leg of the Preliminary stage of the CAF Champions League at the Enyimba International Stadium.

The Peoples Elephant won the first leg 1-0 away from home.

At the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, Rivers United will look to overturn a 2-1 first-leg deficit when they take on Futuro Kings of Equatorial Guinea in a CAF Confederation Cup preliminary second leg fixture.
