Paul Onuachu’s 15th League Goal Not Enough For Genk

Paul Onuachu’s goal for Genk was not enough to secure maximum points as they were held 1-1 draw at home to Waasland-Beveren, Sports247 reports.

The Super Eagles forward gave his side the lead 24 minutes into the game with a lovely dink. The goal was his 15th of the season with all coming from league play.

Senegalese forward, Aboubakary Koita equalised for Waasland-Beveren at the death of the first half.

Neither team could come up with the winner in the second half as both settled for a draw.

Onuachu was substituted for his international teammate Cyriel Dessers late in the game.

With the result, Genk are second in the Belgian Pro League table tied on 38 points with Dennis Bonaventure’s Club Brugge, having played a game less.

Onuachu remains the top goalscorer with two goals more ahead of his nearest rival on the scoring chart.
