Our Aim Is To Promote Our Academies Through The Media, So As To Help Our Vision Of Being One Of The Best Sports Academy In Nigeria – Dapo Emmanuel Admits, Ahead Of Outlined Programmes For 2021 By Springsoca United

Ahead of various footballing activities lined up for their academies this year, Director of Springsoca United, Dapo Emmanuel has stated that he and his team’s aim this year is to help promote their academy through the media, so as to enhance their vision of becoming one of the leading Sports academies in Nigeria and Africa as well.

Springsoca United is a registered Sports academy in Lagos, founded in 2008, but duly registered under CAC in 2015, with the core vision of becoming one of the leading Sports academies in Nigeria and in Africa as well.

Speaking with Sports247 ahead of their outlined programmes in the year 2021 for their Academies, Dapo stated that they plan to promote their activities through the media, unlike previous years, which they failed to. According to him, promoting their activities through the media will further enhance their vision of being one of the leading Sports academies, not only in Nigeria but in Africa as well. The outspoken director also spoke extensively about their plans for the academies this year 2021, outlining their achievements in previous years, as they promise to continue their shining light on Grassroot Sports academies in Nigeria.

“So far so good, since our existence, we have been doing quite a lot of programs. We won the maiden edition of the ‘Pele Legend Tournament’ in 2016 at the campus square, then in 2018, we participated in various tournament around Ajah area in Lagos, before we moved to the mainland in 2019, where we featured in the first edition of the Surulere league, where we were contenders. Just that same 2019, we organized a soccer camp here in Lagos, where we invited various Super Eagles Players, Victor Osimhen, John Ogu, Ogenekaro Etebo, where they were able to mentor young and aspiring players in a one-week football camp, where the kids were able to meet with these great football players, to play alongside them, and have a feeling of chatting with them”.

“We are bent on doing more, which has also made us start creating structure across which we can impact more on young talents and football potentials. We are running two centers at the moment, which are the elite structure center in Ogun State, which we plan to open in January, this month and also one in Yaba, Lagos State. We do most of our operatives from the Yaba Center in Lagos State, while technical development of our players are being done in Ogun State”.

“Our goal for the year is to see how we can use the media to promote what we are doing because we found out that we have done a lot during the years but haven’t been able to promote it through the media to a larger extent. We have done a lot of things without really promoting it, so we feel there is a need for us to push more through the media, so we can expand our frontiers”.

This year 2021, we are looking at doing two major projects, one of them is to participate in an international tournament in the year 2021, we already have our teams signed up for a tournament in Dubai but then, we are waiting for some confirmation, so that we could bring that to the media in full force. We resumed our programme on Wednesday (7th, January 2021), but our resumption will follow a particular procedure, which means all our players will convey for an annual orientation where we will be talking to them and setting goals, before the commencement of full football activities on the 10th of January (On Sunday), as well as many other procedures which they are to follow.

“All this procedure is to prepare the players for the international tournament ahead of other scouting programmes that we will be participating in”, he concluded.

The Outspoken Director also outlined so many things put in place so as to prepare the players for various tournaments both locally and internationally.
