Olopade took to social media to highlight the top-notch facilities, calm atmosphre and peaceful envirronment on offer at the training base, which he disclosed is loaded with state-of-the-art installations that will adequately aid Team Nigeria’s last phase of preparations for the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
“I took our officials on a tour of the facilities, as we continue our final preparations for the 2026 Commonwealth Games. Every detail has been put in place to ensure our athletes have the best environment, resources and support they need to compete at their very best.
“Our focus remains clear: provide the right conditions, inspire confidence and give Team Nigeria every opportunity to excel on the Commonwealth stage. The journey continues,” Olopade stated in a series of highly revealing and enthusiastic posts he rolled out on Saturday.
Sports247 reports further that the athletes had been boosted earlier before their departure from Nigeria when the NSC officially unveiled world renowned sportswear brand, Puma, as the country’s kit partner for the Games.
The presentation was part of the presidential sendforth ceremony, where 74 athletes across 10 sporting disciplines were charged to represent Nigeria with integrity and pride during the multi-sport competition scheduled for July 23rd to August 2nd.
