Odubajo Ready To Switch Allegiance To Nigeria

Brentford of England defender, Moses Odubajo is reportedly ready to accept an offer from Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr and play for Nigeria at senior level.

 

 

Sports247.ng learnt that Odubajo, who recently returned from am,long bout with injury, is eager to to play for Rohr, even as it means he will have to a future career with England.

 

Having been approached by Rohr, the 25-year-old defender, who has already featured for England’s youth teams, is set to switch and play for three-time African Champions.

 

Odubajo returned after two years spell on the sideline with a dislocated knee injury he sustained in pre-season, after helping his former club, Hull City in the 2016 Championship play-off Final to clinch promotion.

 

He rejoined Brentford this season to get regular games, as well as to set himself up for an invitation from Rohr for last 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles, then hopefully for the event in Cameroon.

Odubajo admitted he nearly quit football early in the season during his injury setback, but has made a solid start to Brentford’s Championship campaign with seven appearances.
