Describing the match, Olaoye said, “It was a nice game. Today, we played our own game the way we wanted. Keeping the ball on the ground, using the out spaces. It is a good match, it is a good game.”

He emphasized the changing landscape of football, stating, “There is no underdog in football any longer. Any team can beat any team because in football now, you don’t underestimate anybody. That’s how it is.”

Despite their initial plan to secure three points, Olaoye acknowledged the value of the one-point result. He mentioned, “Our expectations were to come and get 3 points. With due respect to them, that was our plan. But 1 point is not a bad result.”

Remaining at the top of the league table with no losses, Olaoye expressed the team’s ongoing ambitions. “We still want to win our next game because our first aim is to qualify for the Super 6, and after that, we’ll know what’s next.”

Satisfied with the overall performance, Olaoye highlighted the need for improvement. “I am satisfied with the performance of the girls because they played exactly as we wanted them to.

We created a lot of chances though we didn’t score. We will work on that again. There are lapses and mistakes that we still need to go back to the drawing board and work on.”

Olaoye’s reflections showcase a comprehensive analysis, acknowledging both the positives and areas for refinement as the team progresses in the league.
