NPFL 2019/20: Abayomi Calls for Player Better Health Welfare

The president of the Authentic Nigeria Football club, Abayomi Ogunjimi has revealed the need to visit plans for the better health welfare for players as he sends condolences to Ismaila Shagari’s family after the news of his demise was broken from Taraba.

It was reported that the deceased has always been battling with hepatitis, and was on admission at Federal Medical Center, Gombe where he was discharged last week and was taken to Taraba for an intensive care before breathing his last.

Late ISMAILA SHAGARI, was a former Plateau United, Kwara United, Akwa United Goalkeeper and currently with Gombe United until his sickness and eventual death. He was a man of genuine purpose, unrivaled compassion with boundless confidence.

Ogunjimi in an interview with sports247 said” this players are human, they give their all on the pitch and it’s our obligation as designated football governing bodies to take care of them in times like this, this is when they really need us having given so much”, he explained.

May Allah grant him eternal repose, his entire family and football fraternity the fortitude to bear the irreparable lost, Ogunjimi consoled.
