No directive yet to partake in Super 8 -Bendel Insurance coach

Insurance of Benin Chief coach Baldwin Bazuaye has confirmed that the players and coaching crew are still in Benin because they haven’t been instructed to attend the Nigeria National League Super 8 play-offs, which was scheduled to have started in Aba on Wednesday December 19.

A total of eight teams including Remo Stars, Kada City Stars, Kogi United, Delta Force, Insurance, Shooting Stars, Gombe United and Real Stars qualified for the NPFL play-offs but last week, Remo, Kogi, Delta, Kada, 3SC and Insurance pulled out of the play-offs, leaving only Gombe and Real in the competition.

Bazuaye, a former Nigerian international has lamented the tough situation they found themselves in and the effect of this in training as this has left the team training without knowing what the immediate future holds as regards the Super 8 playoffs.

Insurance defeated 3SC of Ibadan in their final group match to go top of the log and had celebrated their promotion believing that only the first four teams will go through without playoffs. But Last weekend, the Emergency Committee of the NFF announced that it had directed the commencement of the Super 8.
