Head coach of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Edith Olumide Agoye is upbeat his team would be ready for hostilities as the 2018/19 season of the Nigerian National League (NNL) approaches, sports247.ng reports.

Speaking after his team mauled the visiting Spartan of Lagos 5-0 in a pre season club friendly played on Thursday, the ex 3SC forward expressed satisfaction with the improved performance displayed by the players in their last three build up games.

“Our last three games against Stationery Stores, DANNX FC and Spartan have, to a large extent, showed that we have a team that will deliver and I am happy about the progress so far.

Goals from Ahmed Rasheed, Taiwo Muritala, Opeolu Olufemi, Tosin Abioye and Sanni Nurudeen earned the Oluyole Warriors a comprehensive 5-0 win over Spartan in the tune up match decided at the Lekan Salami Stadium.

According to the information from the Media Officer of the Ibadan Warlord, Tosin Omojola, Shooting Stars in continuation of their preparations for the incoming season, the 3SC will on Friday engage Celestial FC from Otta.

The friendly match holds at the Lekan Salami Stadium, with kick time off slated for 4pm.
